Recently photographed finished last month a knife technique oil on canvas painting. In this technique, a palette knife is used instead of a brush to apply paint to a canvas. A rural landscape of a lake, reflection, forests, and mountain in the background is an inspiration environment to be in.

It is also on sale.
I do wonder how the jurying is being done, quite interested if my work will be selected for any sections. When I dropped my work off, I only saw a few paintings that were there, they were of different variation, some more abstract than others, so I am sure you will find something you like. It is much different seeing art works in person rather than on a photograph or a slide show or any other media. I do very much want to hear from whoever sees the work in person what you think, I love hearing comments. As a side note, I am hoping to make a fast speed drawing video tomorrow and be able to put it up online either the day after or maybe even he day of. Stay tuned.
I will soon be able to make videos on some of my drawings I am holding back for this purpose, they will be posted on my youtube channel here: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC2kJ3kRl8jMbkR56mUnmGgg?feature=watch
so far there is only one video I’ve made of a collection of my past paintings until the date it was posted on.
The videos will include fast-forwarded drawing and later on painting as well, but also various different tutorials on techniques of different kinds that I am planning on doing throughout. So far such include reverse glass painting, painting on a bottle, eventually Easter egg painting as well and whichever other projects that I can think of that I’ve done that I’ve found an approach to or have taught to. Some tutorials, I’m thinking, would include specifics on how to get the hands or the lips, the shading in, the shadow vs. light, some tips within those categories and more, I would also include my own mistakes I’ve made as I’ve progressed to understanding how to do which part. We will see as we go along. The plans are grand but only time can tell how it will go, if the first few videos will go fairly well that will certainly be a motivation to do more and more. Would you like that?
Balcony Lights, 2013.
A knife painting technique was used on this image completed with some details where a brush was used. This is an image of a big haired girl standing on the balcony admiring the city architecture she is seeing, the colours of the sky, the setting evening, the balcony lights.
